Inclusive Communities

Inclusive Communities addresses prejudice, bigotry, and discrimination through a range of camps and programs. The organization came to me stating that their suite of more than five logos was outdated.

Interestingly enough, my design process began with one of their programs, IncluCity (a blitz of “inclusive” and “city”) and not their primary logo. Because of this I worked backwards, considering how the IncluCity logo could set the stage for the ones to follow.

In the end, I avoided going the literal route for Inclusive Communities, instead I played around with typography, i.e. stroke, weight, and color.  As a result, I was able to create a series of  evergreen logos that can be seen/read by a wide range of people and utilized within the organization (and beyond!) for years to come.
