Suzan’s Sweet Potato Pies

Suzan’s Sweets, most known for her infamous sweet potato pies, is a household name in the Omaha area! 

With increased exposure and a need to print the logo on more products, I advised Suzan that it was time to create a more functional logo that also elevated values of “home” and “warmth”. 

Because Suzan is the proud face of her company, I used a photo of her to create this stylized image. Throughout my drawing process, I reflected on other food companies who have either a face or character for the logo and the ways it positively impacts the marketing process; relying less on word of mouth and more on brand recognition against competitors in the aisle.
